TBC travel insurance package will cover the following medical expenses:

Ambulance expenses

In case of an accident or sudden illness, expenses of the service provided by the emergency team to the insured person and/or transportation expenses for taking the insured person to the nearest medical institution where an adequate medical assistance can be provided.

Expenses of the medical services rendered to the insured person because of acute illness or trauma requiring less than 1 bed/day stay in a medical institution.

Expenses of the medical services rendered to the insured person because of acute illness or trauma requiring more than 1 bed/day stay in a medical institution.

Expenses of the diagnostics, conservative treatment, care and stay in the in-hospital emergency room / intensive care unit because of acute health impairment, including after surgery.

Expenses of a surgical treatment and the related diagnostics due to acute health impairment.

Acute pain relief and/or urgent tooth extraction by a licensed dentist.

Medical aid in case of eye trauma.

Video or audio specialist consultation depending on the type of medical problem, via mobile application or website: redmed.ge.

Evacuation of the Insured with medical attendance (if needed) from the foreign clinic to the Tbilisi/Kutaisi airport or the nearest Georgian border post.

In case of death of the Insured occurred during the travel in the result of personal accident or acute illness, repatriation of the mortal remains to the Tbilisi international airport or local funeral.

The free travel insurance policy is accessible via the TBC Bank Mobile Bank application, by selecting the product activation tab in the burger menu, or you can contact your personal banker for registration.

Baggage insurance is not included in a package. It should be purchased separately.

Travel insurance package required to be registered before crossing the Georgian border. It enters into force at 00:00 of the start date indicated in the policy and is valid till 23:59 of the end date indicated in the policy. Cover is activated upon crossing of the Georgian border.

Free travel insurance package must be registered before each trip for specific travel dates indicated in a policy (not more than 30 days) considering that the minimum period for subscription is 3 days. In case if the policy`s ending date is beyond the date your trip ends, number of unused days will be fully deducted from the total number of free days available upon the package. E.g., if your policy was registered for 10 days and trip lasts only for 5, available free days upon a package would be 20, despite 5 out of 10 days were not used.

The following countries shall be excluded from cover: Iraq, Afghanistan, Somali and any territories of war. The cover is not valid in those countries where the Insured has citizenship and/or the right of permanent or temporary residence.

Insureds above 70 years are eligible for reimbursement of inpatient and out-patient treatment only in case of personal accident, as well as medical evacuation and repatriation following death due to personal accident only.

Immediately upon the occurrence and not later than within 24 (twenty-four hours), the Insured or his/her representative must contact insurance company and inform about the insured event. If due to objective reasons it's impossible to contact immediately, notification must be made before the end of medical treatment.

For proper identification of the Insured the following information should be provided to the insurance company:

Insurance company will provide you with information/instructions about the available medical providers where you can get a medical treatment.

In case if medical services are received at provider (specified by the insurance company), applicable expenses will be directly reimbursed to the provider, within the policy limits and less any deductible. Amount of deductible must be paid by the Insured himself/herself.

If the Insured applies to any medical institution without notifying the insurance company in advance, and pays the full cost of treatment, the insurance company retain the right to reject the claim for reimbursement.

If due to some objective reasons the Insured did not notify the insurance company within the fixed terms about the insured event, or after leaving a notification he/she applied to another medical institution than was suggested and covered medical expenses at place, Insured/Policyholder/any other interested party must present requested documents within 30 (thirty) calendar days after Insured's return to Georgia / repatriation of mortal remains / local funeral.

In case if a positive decision is made, the amount of reimbursement shall be transferred to the agreed bank account, within 5 (five) working days after receipt of all the requested documents.

For getting a free REDMED consultation the insurance company will give you a special code that should be indicated while booking an audio/video consultation in REDMED mobile application or on www.redmed.ge. Booking is available only after registration in the system. Cost of service received without the code will not be reimbursed.
