On September 26 at 6:00 PM, a presentation of a book dedicated to the work of Amir Kakabadze will be held at the TBC Concept multifunctional space, in the hall on the fourth floor. The book was published to mark the artist’s 85th anniversary.
The book was published within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation between the David Kakabadze Foundation and TBC, with the support of TBC.
At the presentation, the book will be discussed by Mariam Kakabadze, Director of the David Kakabadze Foundation; Khatuna Khabuliani, PhD in Art History; and artist Manana Arabuli.
Amir Kakabadze (1941–2015) was a Georgian artist whose diverse body of work encompassed painting, graphic art, collage, and pop art. He was born into the family of renowned Georgian artists David Kakabadze and Eter Andronikashvili.
In 1967, he graduated from the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and subsequently continued his studies as a postgraduate student, specializing in painting and theatrical and decorative arts. Over the years, he worked in theater and film, designing productions and films in Tbilisi and Moscow.
Since 1965, Amir Kakabadze participated in exhibition projects and held solo exhibitions in Georgia and various countries around the world. His works are held in museums and private collections in Georgia and abroad.
